Opportunities in Government Sector After Medical Lab Technician Course
The pandemic wave jolt has brought to the fore the huge shortage of trained manpower in the health sector and has pushed the government to train more healthcare workers, from assistants who help provide patients daily care to medical laboratory technicians and oxygen plant maintainers. The government has now started the process of identifying and training over 1,17,000 people for various healthcare roles which include — general duty assistants, emergency medical technicians, home healthcare-aid and medical equipment maintenance professionals, and medical laboratory technicians. The councils set up by the National Skill Development Corporation, have tied up with 400 training partners to prepare abridged courses comprising a three-week classroom program, followed by three months of on-the-job training for over 1 lakh healthcare workers.
